Who is Dan Young

Dan Young, lifelong area resident, is husband to his dedicated wife Julie and father to three young children.

His family is deeply rooted in our state and area. Dan’s family ties date back to the early 1800’s in the Hancock area.

For almost twenty years, he has been a dedicated public servant. He has served in a variety of professional and volunteer leadership positions within fire and rescue units.

Currently, Dan is the Fire Captain and EMS Supervisor for one of the nation’s major metropolitan fire departments in Northern Virginia.

Dan is a lifelong student. He avidly enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, shooting, working with his hands, and aviation.

Dan hopes you’ll vote for him to serve you as your Commissioner of Washington County, Maryland.
